Light for Life
Held at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, this installation honors loved ones who have been touched by cancer and/or COVID. Also pays tribute to the brave frontline workers who continue to fight COVID as well as raise funds for Paddle for the Cure. Paddle for the Cure (PFC) is a special support organization for breast cancer survivors /supporters. They offer a unique survivorship program that uses recreational dragon boat paddling to manage the side effects of treatment for breast cancer survivors and promotes a positive and healthy lifestyle.
Event activities included dancing with Move for Life, and paddling practice on an ERG machine with NY Wall Street Dragons. Light for Life will continue offering opportunities for tribute with the BUY A LIGHT program. Thank a frontline worker and hospital staff or honor a loved one who has been touched by cancer or COVID (survivor or departed).
We all would love to see the installation reach its full potential and have every light become a tribute.
