DAVID SECONI - Founder / Principal / Incandescent Specialist
David is one of the founders of Moxie Upstate and a serial entrepenuer. After having graduated in 1976 with BA from the University of Utah, he went on to pursue his true passion, Skiing. It was during those quiet moments in the mountains that he realized he needed to fund his slopside lifestyle and had the thought “what does everyone need?”. The answer was simple - light bulbs. To this day David remains true to his roots as an incandescent specialist, he even branched out into HPS and Metal Halide. Truthfully, he also knows LED’s and everything ever known about lighting.
In addition to his encylopedic knowledge of lighting, David brings the experience of having started, run and successfully sold multiple companies. This started in 1976 when he started Palmyra Electric Supply with his Father and succesfully sold it in 1986. From there he went corporate for a few years, but got the itch to start again when he set up Lightspec Inc, a manufacturers representative in Upstate New York. David grew Lightspec to the largest agency in the state before selling it in 2016 and hoping to retire. That all ended when his sons decided to grow their agency from NYC into Upstate New York and they called him out of retirement. These days David can be found reminiscing about the lightbulb times of old, and occasionally putting together the best outdoor lighting layouts you have ever seen.

When David is not on his bike, skiing or hanging with his grandchildren he is supporting his son and kicking cancers ass.
REFUSES TO GET OLD
When he isn’t on snow, he’s on the water. David’s secret wish to is make turns in the morning in the finger lakes and go skiing in the afternoon.

Whenever possible you can find David spending time with his family doing the things he loves. He is the proud father of three boys, married for 40 years, and has multiple grandchildren that keep him young!
